Reading data from the HW monitor

Reading the Data

HWMonitor for Windows and Mac gives you three main sections of data in its interface. The top section contains information about your processor, including its temperature and core information. The middle part displays information about the disks and fans running in the system. The right side of the panel displays the temperatures of various system components, such as the CPU, GPU, case fans, etc.

  • Lower Middle Section: This section contains specific information related to each drive connected to your computer system; these include the drive model number, serial number, vendor name, firmware version, transfer mode used by the drive controller, and so on. This section also provides an overview of each fan in your system; this includes the type of fan (CPU / GPU / Case), the speed at which it runs (in revolutions per minute), and other important details , such as current consumption, etc.
  • Top Section:This section displays two sets of information: one related to the hardware installed on the system, and the second related to network connection statuses, such as the IP address assigned to the network adapter or the address DNS server configured for the adapter, etc. You can also find a summary of memory usage in this area along with the total amount of memory available and the total amount of memory used on a particular computer at any given time.
  • Right Panel Section: This section will show the temperature of various components inside your PC such as CPU temperature, GPU temperature, case fan temperature, etc. , Which are vital aspects when it comes to providing the best performance of PCwithout any overheating issues or sudden shutdowns due to overheating.

Main features:

  • Displays information about the temperature of computer components.
  • Fan speed control functions.
  • Information from sensors is displayed in the system tray of the operating system. You can edit sensor labels.
  • Supports all common sensor types, including ITE® IT87 and many others.
  • Using S.M.A.R.T technology to display information about the temperature of the hard drive.
  • Supports dedicated hardware for monitoring parameters, such as abit® uGuru and Gigabyte® ODIN™.
  • Customizable interface, including names (labels) of output parameters.
  • Control of remote systems (over the network, using TCP port 25021).
  • It is possible to plot changes in controlled parameters based on logs.
  • Support for time service (TCP port 37) and date service (TCP port 13).
  • Correction of hardware time/date according to data from time servers.
